Every time I think about this trip, I get more excited to go back. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with a city so quickly! Cody and I spent less than 24 hours in New Orleans and by the time we left, we were already planning our next trip back. It was aContinue reading “NOLA”

Adventures in Texas
What a wild couple of months it’s been. I feel like I’ve been through the ringer, but now I’m on the other side and things feel better. Texas was a surprising experience in getting to know myself, my comfort level, and my limits. I didn’t get as much exploring done as I wanted to, partlyContinue reading “Adventures in Texas”
Big Bend National Park
In December, Cody and I packed up the car once again and made our way to Texas for my next assignment. We had some time off and took advantage of it by visiting family for Christmas and going to yet another national park with some friends. Big Bend National Park is located in the southwestContinue reading “Big Bend National Park”
A Year of Travel and a Lifetime of Memories
What a year it’s been. 2020. The Year of the Nurse. And we rose to the occasion, all of us. I had been feeling pretty down about myself when all this started. I was scared. I didn’t work for two months, which was partly because elective cases weren’t happening, and party because I didn’t wantContinue reading “A Year of Travel and a Lifetime of Memories”
Olympic National Park
Welcome back, friends! Want to know one of my most favorite things about Washington state? It is so diverse. The people, the food, climates…there is something for everyone. The eastern part of the state is desert, there are mountains all over, and the western part of the state has a literal rainforest and the PacificContinue reading “Olympic National Park”
Camp Muir Attempt
On September 27th, Cody and I decided to attempt the 8.4 mile out-and-back hike to Camp Muir on Mount Rainier. It was a gorgeous day, sunny and warmer than we expected. We took it easy getting to the higher elevation so we wouldn’t sweat too much and possibly risk hypothermia once we got higher. ItContinue reading “Camp Muir Attempt”
Two Tourists in Seattle
In September, I celebrated an anniversary with my amazing boyfriend. You’ve seen him. He’s the cute redhead in some of my photos. 🙂 We’ve been together for a little over a year and I am so happy he came to Washington with me! It’s been an incredible adventure! So for our anniversary, we decided toContinue reading “Two Tourists in Seattle”
Part 2–Jackson Hole, the Tetons, and Yellowstone
Y’all. What the what? Where has the time gone? I’m so sorry I haven’t updated here in awhile! I’m planning on getting a few posts out in the wild of the internet here in the next few days. There’s been so much! We will continue our story in Jackson Hole, a cute town south ofContinue reading “Part 2–Jackson Hole, the Tetons, and Yellowstone”
The Skyline Trail
I want to talk about my favorite trail so far here in Washington, the Skyline Trail! The Skyline Trail is a 6 mile, moderately rated (on the AllTrails app) trail on the Paradise side of Mount Rainier. It is a loop style trail that starts at the John Muir quote stairs behind the visitor center.Continue reading “The Skyline Trail”
I Was on a Boat
Hey, y’all! It’s been over a month!? WOW! So much has happened. I’m gonna backtrack a little and talk about whale watching in Anacortes and the 4th of July for this one! I’ve got some fun firework pics I want to share! One of the other travelers, Erin, organized a trip to Seattle and AnacortesContinue reading “I Was on a Boat”
